For those who receive the daily digest version (which cannot present
attachments), you may download Jeff Knope's lineweaver project from this
page of MW Forum attachments:

Note: it is a LARGE project (482k).

It has been interesting for me to see Jeff's project evolve
behind-the-scenes as we have exchanged several messages about it over
the past couple of days. For instance, I mentioned to Jeff that as a
webmaster I think about how to post projects for online use on the web -
for the web version of MicroWorlds cannot display a command center or
the procedures page. It is fun to see this version which requires no
use of the command center and which has clear explanatory notes.

I think the project Jeff has shared is much more user-friendly than the
original. However, Jeff, "ring" and "echo" seemed to me a bit buggy -
at least as implemented on my computer. When I clicked on "ring" the
first time and then clicked on a number, a second image was drawn. But
after that I could not seem to get it to draw anything. I tried Echo.
After clicking here and there for a minute with nothing happening, I was
surprised when all at once a figure was drawn several times (but not the
figure I was expecting). I'm guessing that maybe I had not been patient
enough and that it takes some time for the computer to process my
request? Or maybe my computer has only a marginal amount of memory or
processing speed?

But then after awhile some of the yellow numbers and labels would not
erase when I pressed the "clear screen" button. Again I'm wondering if
maybe the computer was involved with another process at the time that I
pressed the button and maybe that is why it did not respond?

I'm also very curious to know how you implemented the clickable value
scales, for I've never seen anything like that before in MicroWorlds and
I can't seem to figure it out from looking at your procedures. Would
you mind explaining your strategy to us?

Thanks for sharing - and if you have any insights on the little problems
I ran into, please let us know!
