It certainly is possible, and here is a link to a web page explaining
exactly how to do it, including small demo projects with code:

"How do I steer the turtle with keyboard keys?"

This page is part of the new (and growing) "How Do I?" section of the
MicroWorlds in Action site:

"How Do I?" questions:

We are adding several more questions to this section every week. Please
let us know what else you would like to know!

I think you will find the other sections of MicroWorlds in Action
useful, too. The theme-based project folders include sequenced projects
with code, notes, vocabulary links, project map, and 3 types of
extension questions. The Resources section includes activity pages, the
How Do I? area, and a printable listing of all MicroWorlds primitives
with explanations and sample commands. It also includes a large new
section on "Educational Context."

MicroWorlds in Action is being developed by OpenWorld Learning, a
Colorado educational non-profit organization. MicroWorlds is the
centerpiece of OWL's after-school and summer computer programs, and the
MicroWorlds in Action site is being developed to help teachers and
students teach themselves new MicroWorlds programming skills. We hope
and believe the site addresses the needs of MicroWorlds users of varied
skill levels, including novices.
