[MWForum]the glide command

Welcome! The "glide" command is one of the casualties of newer, faster
computers. There is no way to slow down "glide" to run faster than a
speed of 1. So "glide" is virtually useless these days, as it does run
at a very fast speed even at its slowest setting. The one exception
I've come up with is if you launch a lot of processes at the same time
and if your turtles are very large. I think I was able to use glide
marginally well under those circumstances.

With FD we can overcome the impressive speed of new computers with
commands such as:

repeat 1000 [fd 1 / 20]

but we cannot use fractions or decimals to go slower than the speed of 1
with glide.

But the command above (or another fraction) might simulate the gliding
motion you are hoping for. Experiment until you get the speed you like.

Digest members receive only one mailing a day: a digest containing all
messages sent that day. Attachments shared on the list (mostly MW
projects) cannot be received by digest members. The traffic on this
list is quite light (many days there are no messages at all!), and I
recommend that digest members switch to receiving every message as it
arrives. If you contact me OFF-LIST I will make this switch for you.
