I may have misunderstood your intent in changing the pixel size of a shape.
What I gave you instructions to do was to swell or shrink the box size
which encloses a shape. If you want to change the size of the shape and
maintain the vertical and horizontal proportion, dress up a turtle in that
shape, and make use of your knowledge that all shapes are initialized to a
size of 40.
In MW2
1. use a setsize____ command to swell or shrink the actual shape (the range
is from 5 to 160)
2. Stamp the new shape size
3. without moving the turtle, do a ht
4. Go into the graphics editor and enclose that stamped shape in a 'dashed-box'
5. Double-click, and then make manual adjustments to smooth out a larger
shape, and to clean up a shrunken one
6. When finished, use st.
7. change the shape of the turtle to a blank shape which has been turned
into a square or rectangle large enough to cover the modified graphic image.
8. at the command line, type in snapshape.

UPDATE!
After some experimentation, here's an easier way to distort, shrink, and
swell shapes.
You can simply stamp the shape,
enclose the graphic in the 'dashed-box' (graphic selection tool)
grab the handlebars, those square dots, and drag them every which way until
your graphic that's going to turn into a new shape, is the right size.

then
fill in an empty shape with a square or rectangle, dress up a turtle, cover
the graphic
then do a snap-shape.

OR
While the handle-bars are present,
in windows do a control-c to copy the graphic shape
Then, enter the shape editor, choosing an empty available shape
and do a control-v (paste).

(practice makes perfect)
