Hi Folks,

Susan at LCSI is looking for your success stories about MicroWorlds and other LCSI Logo products. If you reply to this list, we'll make sure that Shawn of LCSI passes your stories on to her. We'll all enjoy hearing your stories. I hope a lot of you will contribute. Please feel free to share as many stories as you like. Below is Susan's request (first posed to Chris Myers of OWL, reposted here with her enthusiastic permission). As you'll see from her request, stories from the perspective of a teacher or a learner are both welcome.

<< I'm ... trying to collect stories about how LCSI products have been used by teachers over the years: for example, how a teacher may have used them to help resolve a pedagogical problem or challenge. I'm also interested in hearing any anecdotes that may show how students benefited later in their education or life by having learned Logo, LogoWriter, MicroWorlds, etc. For example, one principal told me that some students from his school visited him after starting college and told him that the skills they learned when learning programming - how to analyze a problem and break it down into bite-sized pieces - were of great help to them in college. I was wondering if you had any stories along those lines. Any stories would be greatly appreciated. >>
