Mike, Gary,

I want to thank you for your postings, which beautifully captured my 
excitement about teaching Logo in words I could not have written. 

In OWL's work in Colorado under Governor Owens, we've found that the 
after-school and summer hours where we offer our Logo based educational 
program are an oasis from CSAP pressure.  Every time there is a proposal 
to lengthen the school day or lengthen the school year, I shudder a bit. 
And this in spite of knowing that kids would benefit from more after-
school options because their parents are working two or three jobs to 
make ends meet.

I look forward to sharing these powerful and brief passages with our 
teachers as part of our weekly team meetings.    

I want to thank Wendy for inviting these postings and for helping make MW 
Forum a place where they can take place. 

It's nice that when any one of us finds a little beachhead where Logo can 
flourish that there are others to inspire us in our efforts, and renew 
our determination to expand them.
