I just joined this discussion list and was asked to introduce myself.  I've 
been teaching public school for 28 years in Ontario, California.  I taught 
kindergarten (13) and first grade (4) for the first 17 years of my teaching 
career.  The past 11 years I've been teaching at Vina Danks Middle School,
  which happens to be the school I went to as a child.  I currently teach 
7th and 8th grade students in a computer lab.  My students use MicroWorlds 
for most of their assignments and are required to write a descriptive 
paragraph after completing each MW project.  I'm the site "tech expert" at 
my school and responsible for keeping our 175 computers running smoothly on 
our network.  Outside of my school, I teach computer workshops for my 
school district and I'm vice-president of the board of directors of the 
Global SchoolNet Foundation, which promotes online collaborative projects 
around the world.

I'm hoping to be able to share some of my knowledge with beginning MW users 
as well as learn new ideas from other people sharing their knowledge.
