In a previous life I was a software engineer programming in C/C++ but now am home with my 2 daughters. (ages 5 and 10) I also recently completed a Master's Program in Child Development. I initially learned about logo a few years ago in one of my graduate school classes and played around with it a little bit. Last summer I purchased MicroWorlds EX to learn and work on with my 10 year old. We have gone through the tutorials and examples and we have both been having a great time with it. She is pretty busy with school this year and has not had as much time
to devote to it as she would like. (She would rather do MicroWorlds than her homework!) Unfortunately logo is not taught in her school. We are in Massachusetts... just curious if anyone is teaching MicroWorlds in Mass. or knows of any schools which use it in Mass. I am starting to learn more on my own and hoping to possibly get involved with teaching it to kids in the future. Any suggestions for getting started, learning resources, classes (online or other) would be greatly appreciated. I have noticed that a lot out there on the web is indicated for MicroWorlds Pro... what exactly is the difference between MicroWorlds Pro and MicroWorlds EX (version we have) and how easily can I transfer the PRO examples to the EX version. thanks in advance, Nadia Bluhm _______________________________________________ MWForum mailing list MWForum@lists.mathcats.com
