I have a few bits of information about the MW Web Player which may be
useful (see below), but it is probably best to contact Shawn at LCSI
with a specific problem like this:

(800) 321-LOGO
shawn@lcsi.ca

It is better to call (rather than write) if you live in the U.S.

Things to know about the MW Web Player:

1) If you hope to publish MW projects on the web, you now need to
include the HTML code for accessing two different plug-ins on every web
page, because IE 5.5 (service pack 2) and above requires the new
plug-in, but Macs require the old plug-in.

2) LCSI is now distributing an upgrade to MW Pro which includes the new
code so that it will make automatic templates including the information
for both plug-ins. This new update also will ensure that your help
files will work correctly.

3) If you have specified Netscape as your default browser, then you may
need to make a second installation of the plug-in in your IE folder.
That is the part that I am not very clear about and which Shawn can help
you with. (You would not need to download it again but you might need
to run the installer again and go into custom settings.)

4) If you have a sample project on a web page, why don't you send us the
URL and one of us can tell you if we can view it in IE with XP on our
machines?

Last remark: I am a huge fan of MicroWorlds, but I do want to caution
you that the great majority of visitors to my Math Cats site do not want
to bother with downloading the MW Web Player. You need to balance your
desire to work with Logo and your desire to reach your target audience.
Be sure to include some materials which do not require the plug-in. I
include screenshots of each project on a separate page and a description
of the project to try to tempt my visitors to download the plug-in. I
include a link to the download page from each project. You might also
consider creating some Flash activities and some MW activities within
the same site.
